Trust Venture Partners (TVP), a Yangon-based financial advisory firm, is to take a minority stake in research company Frontier Myanmar Research (FMR), with a focus on Japanese clients, according to an article in the Myanmar Times. According to the report, TVP will exclusively distribute FMR’s subscription services on energy, financial services, real estate and transport infrastructure to businesses in Japan. The report said the two companies aim to combine FMR’s research experience with TVP’s advisory services to help support domestic and foreign investors in Myanmar, as well as local companies hoping to increase funds. “Once Myanmar’s financial market gains more momentum, the demand for related financial services such as corporate analysis reports will increase,” Shinsuke Goto, TVP’s chief executive officer, was quoted as saying.
