For the period between October 1st 2019 and January 17th 2020, Myanmar’s maritime trade totaled USD 8 billion, an increase of over USD 1 billion compared to the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Commerce.
Myanmar’s nine international maritime ports exported goods and commodities for a value of USD 3.23 billion, while imports were registered at USD 4.87 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of approximately USD 1.5 billion over the period.
