“Upcycling through the curated works”
Pure Gold Myanmar raises awareness of upcycling through the curated works of international and Myanmar artists. It also highlights original Myanmar ways of upcycling. Local artists and artisans will demonstrate their expertise in upcycling and visitors will be invited to try with their own hands transforming waste “into gold” at several workshops. One of the most spectacular attractions of the show will be a giant “NAGA”, a mythical dragon-like creature, winding its bamboo-made body through the entire exhibition space. Visitors will be invited to add a scale made from upcycled plastic on the Naga’s body, transforming it into an extraordinary colourful piece of mosaic.
