With a rapidly changing social and economic landscape, the government has announced it will conduct a partial census in 4,000 locations in November 2019, ahead of the full census planned for 2024. Results will be released in June 2020. The last census was conducted 5 years ago, in 2014, and still remains the point of reference in Myanmar.
