The total number of registered companies on the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) online portal MyCO was exactly 81,646 by August-end this year. This number comprises 35,269 new companies and 46,377 existing companies that have registered or re-registered.

The registration and re-registration of companies on the MyCO website commenced on 1 August 2018, in keeping with the Myanmar Companies Law 2017. Typically, over 1,000 new companies are registered every month except in April and May this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The portal is a success with 100% of new companies registering through it now. It is regularly put forward to show the progress in digitization by the government.
