State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received yesterday a delegation from France’s largest and most influential employers’ union, MEDEF (“Mouvement des Entreprises de France”), led by Mr Christian Lechervy, Ambassador of France to Myanmar.
The visiting French business delegation included 28 members representing various prominent French international companies interested in doing business in Myanmar.
According to the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, France ranks ninth out of Myanmar’s top-50 trade partners, and trade between the two countries reached USD 551 million last year.
