Eaton Corporation, an American power management company, has signed a deal with local company Myanmar Golden Rock International (MGRI), which provides technology solutions in the country, said a report in the Myanmar Times. According to the article, Eaton will work with MGRI to improve the reliability of existing and newly-developed power generation in the areas of healthcare, utilities and commercial building, among others. “Demand for power and energy solutions will only grow as the country races towards electrifying 100 percent of Myanmar households, the primary goal set out in the Myanmar National Electrification Plan,” Kidsada Santisak, Eaton country manager for Indochina West, was quoted as saying. Founded in the United States more than 100 years ago, Eaton is now headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
