Mottama Holdings Limited, a Yangon-based company owned by a Myanmar-Chinese businessman, reportedly has nine major projects lined up in Myanmar, mainly in the area of real estate. An article in the Myanmar Times, citing a company announcement from June 15, said that the projects include four projects with international partners, and five with domestic companies. The company’s largest project is the planned multi-billion dollar renovation of and real estate development at the Yangon Railway Station that will significantly overhaul Yangon’s downtown area.
