The Irrawaddy reported that Unison Choice Services Limited, a subsidiary of YSX-listed Ever Flow River Group Public Company (EFR) and Ayeyar Hinthar Holdings Co., Ltd (AHH) have formed a joint venture to implement the Ayeyarwady International Industrial Port (AIIP) on the bank of the Pathein River, four miles south of Ayeyarwady Region’s capital, Pathein.

The two local companies will respectively hold 60 per cent and 40 per cent of the newly created entity, A Logistics Co Ltd.

The planned project will include bonded warehouses, a container yard, international port terminals and other infrastructure, and handle international ships and ocean liners.

The port is part of “Pathein Industrial City”, a project slated to cover 2,711 hectares comprising industrial zones, a river port for 10,000-ton cargo ships and commercial and residential areas.
