The MOC’s efforts to boost the countries’ export seem to start paying off. According to their most recently released data, exports were up 36% this fiscal year, from October to December, compared to the same period last year, totaling USD 4.56 billion.
This represents an increase of USD 1.2 billion, from USD 3.36 billion one year ago. Agriculture, fisheries, finished industrial goods and minerals are the main sectors pushing the exports up, while livestock, forest products and other goods declined slightly.
Myanmar’s exports still rely mainly on agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
