The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MOALI) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA have signed an MoU for a technical assistance project to promote value chain of agricultural crops through a food safety program.

The 4-years project, signed March 19 in Nay Pyi Taw between Union Minister Dr Aung Thu and JICA Myanmar Office’s outgoing Chief Representative Mr Karasawa Masayuki and his successor Mr Sakakura Noriji, will be implemented in Hmawbi Township in Yangon Region and Kalaw township in Shan State.
