POSCO International discovers new gas layer in the deep sea of Myanmar

POSCO International (formerly DAEWOO International), a South Korean company serving a broad range of industries, from steel, energy, and agro to chemicals, mobility & materials, and infra, has confirmed on February 17th the productivity of about 38 million cubic feet per day of its promising structure in Myanmar’s A-3 field.

POSCO International has conducted a gas-producing test by drilling up to about 2,598 meters underground in the Maha promising structure, a deep-sea area of more than 1,000 meters deep, since April 12 reported the Korea IT Times.

POSCO International already produces and sells gas to China and Myanmar from two offshore gas fields in Myanmar.
